Kailyn Lowry doesn’t have time for haters. The Teen Mom 2 star, 26, shared a risqué photo via Instagram on Thursday, April 5, and then called out some of her followers for body-shaming.
While enjoying a spring break vacation in Jamaica, Lowry posted a picture of herself standing on what appeared to be the balcony of a hotel. She wore only a black bikini bottom while covering her chest with a white bath towel. She put her heavily-tattooed arm on full display, but shielded her face with her blonde hair.
“Just checking out the view,” she captioned the snap, adding several emojis and hashtags including #womenempowerment #bodypositive #curves and #lovetheskinyourein.
The MTV personality received plenty of positive messages in the comments section of her post. “Killing it love your confidence kail,” one fan wrote. Another commented, “You look amazing Kail and don’t need to lose any weight at all. You’re built how women should be and want to be.”
But there were a few haters, too. Some pointed out that Lowry — who is the mother of sons Isaac, 8, Lincoln, 4, and Lux, 8 months — underwent extensive plastic surgery in January 2016, with one follower writing, “I’m sorry but that a little hypocritical considering you paid for the ‘skin your [sic] in’ that’s not fair especially to the young girls that look up to you.”
The reality star promptly responded to a few of the trolls, writing that one of them was “crying for attention” and telling another that her post-surgery “results were wayyyy better before” her third pregnancy. “Gained lots of extra inches back there,” she added.
This isn’t the first time Lowry has stripped down in recent weeks. She posed fully nude in March for a birthday photo shoot, writing on Instagram at the time, “Birthday suit for the birthday girl.”
And earlier this year, the 16 and Pregnant alum spoke with Us Weekly exclusively about how being bullied affects her daily life. She said, “It makes me second-guess every move I make, diminishes any confident I may or may not have left and causes me to stay guarded at all times.”
