Newlyweds Katy Perry and Russell Brand come off as one of Hollywood's zaniest couples — but Perry says her British hubby is a deeply spiritual man and ideal dad material.
"I always knew I wanted a great man of God," Perry, 25, says in the December issue of Harper's Bazaar, out Nov. 23. "Someone who was going to be an inspiration for people and also be a lovely husband and father."
After less than a year of dating, she and Brand, 35, tied the knot in an elaborate four-day celebration in India last month.
Explains the "Fireworks" singer of her man: "We're at different places in our lives, but we can still grow together. He's thought-provoking, articulate, a real advocate. I also definitely wanted to have a laugh. I have all that in him."

In her Bazaar interview, the star also dishes on her sweet-yet-naughty public persona. "I'm kind of a good girl–and I'm not," says Perry, who sprayed whipped cream from her brassiere in the "California Gurls" video.
"I'm a good girl because I really believe in love, integrity, and respect. I'm a bad girl because I like to tease. I know that I have sex appeal in my deck of cards. But I like to get people thinking. That's what the stories in my music do."
