Setting the record straight! Khloé Kardashian wants her fans to know she’s losing her pregnancy weight the old-fashioned way — with exercise and healthy eating — following the April 12 birth of True, her first child.
“I truly dislike when people report I’ve lost a tremendous amount of weight in a short amount of time or when people claim I’m doing these ridiculous diets,” the 33-year-old tweeted on Monday, June 18. “It’s really setting the wrong tone. I believe in making lifestyle changes when it comes to my food.”
The reality star elaborated in a subsequent tweet: “Dieting is great but dieting doesn’t typically create long-lasting results. I also believe that working out is so incredibly healthy and should be done to each individual’s own rhythm of life. There’s no one size fits all when health and fitness.”
Six weeks after Kardashian welcomed True — her daughter with Cleveland Cavaliers star Tristan Thompson — she told her fans she had resumed working out with her trainer, Joel “Coach Joe” Bouraïma.
“After I had True, I couldn’t wait to get back to the gym,” the Revenge Body host wrote on her app and website. “I really missed it during my pregnancy. A good sweat sesh can do wonders for the mind … Once I got the green light from my doctor, Coach Joe was on the next flight to Cleveland — no joke, LOL.”
Bouraïma also chimed in on Kardashian’s post-baby workouts. “Even before pregnancy, the stomach was something Khloé wanted as clean as possible. And now, it’s even more an area that she wants back,” he wrote in the blog post. “Right now is more of a preparation for what we’re going to do once she’s back in L.A. Then we can start all the serious work!”
