Summer isn’t over yet — at least if you’re Nicole Richie! The reality star-turned-fashion designer celebrated turning 32-years-young on Sept. 21 by jetting to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, with a gaggle of girlfriends in tow. And judging by pictures, they had a blast toasting the birthday girl and tanning like it’s July.
The mom of two seemed to be fully enjoying her girls-only vacation, an annual birthday trip for the star. (Kids Harlow, 5, and Sparrow, 4, presumably stayed at home with dad Joel Madden, 34.) Rocking a nude-colored bandeau bikini (Melissa Odabash’s Martinique style), Richie lounged poolside in oversized shades. When she and her pals weren’t chatting as they sunbathed, they were taking selfies and nursing cocktails.
The same day, she shared a snapshot of her birthday treat — not a fattening cake but chocolate-covered strawberries that spelled out “Happy Birthday”! In another picture shared by one of her friends, the ladies are toasting with what looks to be mimosas, the plate of strawberries placed in front of them.
Richie, who maintains her slender shape by working out with celeb fitness guru Tracy Anderson and eating healthy, recently rapped about her dietary restrictions. On a hilarious episode of her web show for AOL, Candidly Nicole, the star rhymes about making gluten-free spaghetti.
