In Nashville on Wednesday, November 14, the CMAs red carpet was filled with svelte singers in designer gowns — from Kelsea Ballerini to Kacey Musgraves to pregnant Carrie Underwood — showing off toned arms, tight legs, tiny waists and the other physical benefits of their exercise routines. Kelsea Ballerini

The pink Zac Posen-clad nominee is one of many country cuties who train with Nashville-based pro Erin Oprea, doing a mix of Tabata and other high-intensity interval training methods. As Oprea told Us of the 25-year-old in October, “She is a hard worker but she loves to laugh too. She’s a lot of fun. There’s never a dull moment working out with her.”

Kacey Musgraves

Album of the Year winner Musgraves, 30, can thank ballet-based workout Pure Barre for the fit figure she showed in her Versace suit. As she once told Us, she brings the Pure Barre: Mile High DVD, and a pair of the boutique gym’s grippy socks, with her on the road. “I can do the workouts everywhere,” she said.

Carrie Underwood

Though she’s pregnant with her second baby, she’s not slowing down! “It’s hard work staying disciplined when you’re pregnant. You also have to be good on your eating, and that’s a lot of it,” Underwood’s trainer, Erin Oprea, told Us in September. But the five-time Female Vocalist of the Year winner is up for the challenge. Besides walking a lot, the 35-year-old has been working on her glutes, arms and booty with plenty of squats and free weight work. Revealed Oprea, “She works out all the way up to the end. She did with her pregnancy with Isaiah.”

Gretchen Wilson

When Us asked the 45-year-old “Redneck Woman” crooner how she stays in shape, she had a simple — and very country — answer: "Bar fights and mowing my 33-acre farm,” she said. “I do all my own lawn care."

Lindsay Ell

The “Criminal” singer, 29, does it all! “I am kind of a health nut. I love to work out every single day of my life, so I just like to change it up,” she told Us on the carpet. “I love yoga. I love running. I do a lot of circuit/HIIT workout stuff.” She doesn’t even take a break when she travels! “It's amazing what you can do with a jump rope and even a couple of free weights,” she added. “Or even if you don't have free weights, it's amazing what you can do with just your own body weight. So I do a lot of workouts in my hotel room.”

Maren Morris

A gold, beaded Julien Macdonald backless gown with a cut-out at the waist and a high slit showed off the intense training Morris, 28, has been doing with Erin Oprea. The pro told Us in October that results come from the kitchen as much as the gym. “If you don’t get ‘em to eat right,” advised Oprea, “you’ll never get the results you want. You’ve got to eat clean to get lean. You can’t see the results until you lean out your body.”

Jennifer Nettles

The Sugarland frontwoman, 44, is a yoga devotee, sticking with the mindful practice on tours as well as in her day-to-day life. "It helps me not only physically, but emotionally and spiritually as well," she once told Shape. "It's nice to have a center when you move around as much as we do."

Kellie Pickler

The American Idol alum also works with Erin Oprea. And as the 32-year-old once told Us, she focuses on diet as much as workout: “For me, I will say 85 percent of the way someone looks is because of the way they eat.” The singer, who went vegetarian in 2008, also noted, “I love raw almonds. Just love them.”

Kimberly Williams-Paisley

She does everything from hiking to lifting weights to working with a trainer, but one exercise in particular is the most important to her. “I need to go to my yoga class — I love hot yoga!” the 47-year-old actress, and wife of Brad Paisley, once gushed to Shape.

Carly Pearce

The “Every Little Thing” singer, 28, is another of Erin Oprea’s crew! In July, she even took part in a group workout with the trainer, Maren Morris and Kelsea Ballerini. It was a fun, but tough, session: “Lots and lots of abs — we did 40 butterfly crunch pulses followed by elbow planks with hip dips for 30 seconds, then side planks for 30 seconds each,” the pro told Us, adding, “For booty, we did 20 table slides right into 20 fire hydrant circles.”

Olivia Culpo

The former Miss Universe presented the Vocal Group of the Year Award (to Old Dominion!) — and showed off her killer bod in a nearly naked Aadnevik dress. “I love Pilates, I love Flybarre, or any type of bar class, running and stretching,” the 26-year-old star told Us in October. And though she confessed that hot yoga is a bit too slow of a pace for her, she likes its benefits. “It's great for your muscles to stretch and exercise in the heat,” she added of the high-temp workout. “It keeps you from being super tense, and afterward I feel more Zen.”

Martina McBride

“I don’t really stick to a particular diet or health regimen at all. I’m kind of an ‘everything in moderation’ kind of gal,” the country legend and cookbook author, 52, has admitted to Us. “I just try to eat healthy.” One strategy for touring: “We work really close with the caterers to make sure that there’s healthy food and it’s all fresh. I really work hard at not having unhealthy snacks even on the bus. I mean, we don’t even have them available and I think that makes a big difference.”
