Kerry's privacy is handled! Kerry Washington's Scandal costar Bellamy Young revealed to Us Weekly at The Wrap's First Annual Emmy Party on June 5 in Los Angeles she's not allowed to comment on Kerry Washington or her recently born baby girl.
When asked about her costar's bundle of joy, the actress, who plays First Lady of the United States Mellie Grant on the hit ABC show, said "We can't talk about Kerry on the carpet."
Is Young, 44, happy for Washington? "I am Switzerland of Kerry," she joked.
Washington, who plays fast-walking crisis manager Olivia Pope on the show—she has an on-and-off love affair with the president (Tony Goldwyn)—discreetly gave birth to her first child, a baby girl named Isabelle Amarachi Asomugha, with husband Nnamdi Asomugha on April 21 in L.A.
The uber-private star has yet to officially announce she's now a mom, but did address her fans on Mother's Day.
In a simple tweet, the actress wrote: "Well…I still wont talk about my personal life on here But…I see your tweets. And I am filled with gratitude! XO #HappyMothersDay."
