Bey and Blue are rocking out! Blue Ivy joined her famous mom, Beyonce, on stage during one of the singer’s recent rehearsals for the Budweiser Made in America Festival.
Queen Bey — who celebrated her 34th birthday last Friday, Sept. 4 — shared black-and-white Instagram photos on Monday, Sept. 7. Clad in a striped dress, Bey and Jay Z’s 3-year-old looked ready to belt out some tunes with her very own microphone, which featured Dora the Explorer stickers.
Following in her mom’s footsteps — literally — Blue also held a large white balloon while walking behind her. She appeared to be mimicking Bey’s choreography while the “Drunk in Love” singer talked with her backup dancers.
Back in December 2013, Beyonce briefly talked about Blue singing while promoting her self-titled album on iTunes. “Nothing feels like my child singing ‘mummy,'” she said at the time. “No, nothing feels like when I look my husband in the eyes, nothing feels like when I’m respected, when I get on the stage and I see I’m changing peoples lives.”
One month earlier, Jay Z, 45, opened up to Vanity Fair about raising the couple’s daughter. “She does like her mother’s music—she watches [Beyoncé’s concerts] on the computer every night. But my album [Magna Carta Holy Grail] came out and I don’t know if Blue ever heard any of my music prior to this album,” he said. “…She loves all the songs. She plays a song and she goes, ‘More, Daddy, more … Daddy song.’ She’s my biggest fan.”
He gushed: “She’s genuine, she’s honest, because she doesn’t know it makes me happy. She just wants to hear it.”
