Michael Douglas is a grandpa! The actor’s eldest son, Cameron Douglas, has welcomed his first child with yoga instructor Viviane Thibes.
Cameron, 39, revealed the news in an Instagram post on Monday, December 18. “Today my appreciation for Mother’s all over the world has reached new heights…today I took part in a miracle as my baby girl was introduced to the world through a beautiful Amazon warrior,” he captioned a pic of Thibes showing off her bare baby bump while doing a yoga pose.
He added: “I’m so proud of you @vivianethibes. #iloveyou.”
As previously reported, Cameron was incarcerated for seven years following his arrest at a New York City hotel in 2009. He was in possession of 0.5 pounds of methamphetamine and was later charged with the intent to distribute. He was sentenced to five years behind bars but his sentence was extended when he pleaded guilty to smuggling drugs into jail in 2011.
Cameron was released from jail in August 2016. In late November, he attended the premiere of Lifetime’s Cocaine Godmother and posed for photos with his famous dad and Thibes.
Michael, 73, shares Cameron with his first wife, Diandra Morrell Douglas. The Oscar winner is also dad of son Dylan, 17, and daughter Carys, 14, with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones.
