Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher are actively working toward giving their 2-year-old son, Isaiah, a younger sibling, an Underwood confidante reveals exclusively in the new issue of Us Weekly.
“Everyone around her knows she wants a big family, and they’re always trying for another baby,” the country superstar’s pal tells Us.
The American Idol season 4 winner, 34, has spoken candidly in the past about her desire to have more children. “We’re on God’s good timing or whatever you might call it,” she told Entertainment Tonight in April 2017. “I’m just trying to figure out where life’s going to take me next.”
At the time, Underwood said that Isaiah may not be ready for a little brother or sister just yet, joking, “As a matter of fact, if a dog climbs up on my lap, I feel like he gets a little jealous of the dog!”
And for the time being, the “Before He Cheats” singer and the 37-year-old NHL player, who recently announced that he’s returning to the Nashville Predators after a five-month retirement, are perfectly happy with their crowd of three. “Carrie and Mike have a great life and a very strong marriage — one that their friends envy,” the source tells Us. “They are completely committed to each other and in it for the long run.”
Underwood and Fisher were introduced by her bass player Mark Childers during a backstage meet-and-greet at one of her concerts in late 2008. They tied the knot in Greensboro, Georgia, in July 2010.
