Almost ready to make his grand debut! Carrie Underwood and husband Mike Fisher are set to be parents for the second time, but their baby boy won’t arrive until the new year.
Taylor Dye of country music duo Maddie & Tae revealed Underwood’s due date exclusively to Us Weekly at the 2018 Country Music Association Awards on November 14. “January,” she said. “And we’ve already offered to babysit.”
Maddie & Tae, along with girl group Runaway June, will open for the 35-year-old “Love Wins” singer’s Cry Pretty Tour 360, which kicks off in May.
Underwood gushed about her impending arrival after revealing the gender during her CMA Awards opening with cohost Brad Paisley. “It took us a while to get here … I’m gonna cry again,” the country star told Us backstage on November 14. “[I’m] just so thankful … to find out Isaiah’s gonna have a baby brother. It was just great news. We’re excited.”
The American Idol alum and Fisher, who tied the knot in July 2010, welcomed Isaiah in February 2015. She opened up in September about suffering three miscarriages in two years. “I had always been afraid to be angry,” the “Cry Pretty” songstress said during an interview with CBS Sunday Morning. “Because we are so blessed … I’m like, ‘If we can never have any other kids, that’s OK, because [Isaiah] is amazing.’ And I have this amazing life. Like, really, what can I complain about? I can’t. I have an incredible husband, incredible friends, an incredible job, an incredible kid. Can I be mad? No.”
She continued: “I got mad … I was like, ‘Why on Earth do I keep getting pregnant if I can’t have a kid? Like, what is this? Shut the door. Like, do something. Either shut the door or let me have a kid.’ And for the first time, I feel like I actually I told God how I felt.”
Underwood announced in August that she and the retired Nashville Predators player, 38, are expecting their second child.

The CALIA by Carrie Underwood founder also shared her advice for working mothers. “Balance is what it’s all about. No matter what your job is,” she told Us exclusively in October. “Being a mom, working and dividing your time. It is what we all have to do as mothers.”
