Time to celebrate! Chanel Iman and Sterling Shepard have welcomed the newest member of their family — a baby girl!
The 27-year-old supermodel gave birth to a gorgeous little one on Friday, August 10. Iman took to Instagram two days later to share the excitement.
“You were worth every push every contraction!” she captioned a pic of herself holding the newborn as her NFL star beau sat next to her in the hospital bed on Sunday, August, 12. “Welcome to our world @caliclayshepard ❤️ Love mommy and daddy @sterl_shep3” (The little girl already had her own Instagram account.)
The doting dad also got in on the action sharing an intimate photo of his wife and baby writing, “Everything I do is for you two. My world!”
Iman posted a second photo that gave a clearer look at her newborn’s face, captioning it, “Cali Clay Shepard 💕🎀💕 8•10•18”
Prior to giving birth, Iman opened up to Us Weekly about the anxiety that comes with impending motherhood.
“I feel like he can be a doctor because he’s really good with being around any situation,” Iman told Us in June of her husband. “I’m not as comfortable with the whole idea of labor. “I’m a little nervous, but he seems to have a lot more confidence in me.”
Iman revealed she was expecting her first child with Shepard in a sweet Instagram post in May.
“Daddy and Mommy can’t wait to meet you,” she captioned a picture that showed her cradling her baby bump. “As I approach motherhood I want to wish a Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and mommies to be. 📸 @jamesmacari.”
The two — who later released a series of intimate pregnancy photos — tied the knot in front of family and friends at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles in March.
