Chanel Iman’s NFL player husband Sterling Shepard will be cheering her on in the delivery room. “I feel like he can be a doctor because he’s really good with being around any situation,” the pregnant model, 27, told Us Weekly on Tuesday, June 26. “I’m not as comfortable with the whole idea of labor. “I’m a little nervous, but he seems to have a lot more confidence in me.”
Iman and Giants wide receiver, 24, are expecting their first child together — a baby girl — in August. Before welcoming their bundle of joy, the pair, who tied the knot in March, are squeezing in plenty of date nights. And Iman says she doesn’t always get dressed up.
“My husband loves me in a nice fitted hat,” the New Era NFL ambassador told Us. “Sometimes he’ll request me to wear a hat on our date!”
She added that the athlete pretty much digs of all the Victoria Secret Angel’s looks: “He likes when I get my hair done and it’s fresh and flat-ironed . . . and he likes braids as well!”
Iman revealed that Shepard will occasionally weigh in on her fashion choices. “It’s so random. He’ll have requests of what he’d like to see me in for the night,” she told Us. “We help each other out. He’ll tell me what dresses he likes better.” (Right now, she’s digging “flowy” frocks.)
But Iman feels comfortable and confident no matter what she wears. “It’s all in the way that your partner treats you,” she gushed. “And he makes me feel like I’m the most beautiful woman in the world always.”
