In the photo, the Nuna’s PIPA Lite baby gear sits on top of the Gaines’ stove. “If you’ve read my book #capitalGaines you know I’m NO child safety specialist,” the 43-year-old teased in the caption. “But even I know this can’t be a good place for a car seat . . .”

Fans ignored the joke and zeroed in on something else in the frame. “What car seat seat? I can’t get past the cake with no frosting AND it was cut in the middle! BLASPHEMY!” wrote one woman in the comments. Added another:“What sort of monster cuts out the middle first??? #Notok #SoShook.”

All anyone seemed to care about was the cornbread. “Yeah forget the car seat, WHO CUT OUT OF THE MIDDLE @chipgaines #wrong #againstthelaw,” scolded one of his nearly four million social media followers.
