Chrissy Teigen is such a character! The model hilariously trolled husband John Legend by sharing a snap of their 2-year-old daughter, Luna, clutching a bespectacled Arthur doll. She captioned the Wednesday, June 20, Instagram post: “Luna and daddy.”
Twitter followers of the famous couple will get the joke. Last year a side-by-side meme went viral of the 39-year-old R&B singer and the beloved animated aardvark. “I hadn’t even heard of this Arthur character til now,” tweeted Legend. “Was he around when I was a young?” (For the record, yes! The first Arthur children book — written by Marc Brown — was published in 1976. It spawned a TV series that ran from 1994 to 1996.
In Teigen’s Wednesday post, Luna lounged on a pink kid-size sun chair with an umbrella.
“This is my childhood Arthur doll. My mom has kept it all this time. Maybe I’ve been attracted to Arthur my whole life and now i found my real life human one,” the 32-year-old wrote in the comments section. Replied Legend: “Wow.”
The Lip Sync Battle cohost and musician welcomed their second child, a son named Miles, on May 16. The 5-week-old has been pretty much attached to his breast-feeding mom. “He eats every 2 hours right now. and it can take him 2 hours to eat,” she tweeted on Tuesday. “So when he is done, he is really just starting.”
In March when Teigen was still pregnant with Miles, she was already thinking about baby No. 3. “I have husband who try loves whole experience,” she gushed to Us Weekly. “He holds my belly at night, sings to it, wants to be there for me.”
