Doting daughter! Eminem’s only child, Hailie Scott Mathers, recently opened up about her relationship with her famous father and what she plans to do post-college.
The 22-year-old — who was made famous in the late ‘90s when she was often the subject of the rapper’s songs — revealed in a Daily Mail interview on Wednesday, June 6, that she and her dad “are very close.”
When the outlet asked if she sees the “River” singer often and whether he’s supportive of her lifestyle, she simply responded, “Of course.”
The daughter of the Grammy winner is a recent graduate of Michigan State University and told the outlet that she’s considering a career as an influencer, despite graduating “on the Dean’s List or whatever,” with a degree in psychology.
“I’m not sure yet, it’s kind of up in the air, still,” she said of her future plans, noting that she doesn’t plan to follow in the musical footsteps of her father. “People have been reaching out through [Instagram], as I don’t have any [management].”
Scott Mathers resides in a humble four-bedroom house in Michigan located a short few minutes from her family home in Detroit. She also lives close to her boyfriend of more than two years, Evan McClintock, who she met while attending MSU.
As for whether or not the blonde beauty has been approached for magazine-type modeling, she told the outlet: “Not so much [by] magazines, but companies who work with them.”
Eminem and his ex-wife Kim Scott — who were high school sweethearts — welcomed their daughter in 1995. Despite their often headline-making tumultuous relationship, the former couple married twice. They first wed in 1999 before divorcing in 2001, and briefly remarried in 2006 before ending their relationship for good that same year.
