So scary! Jana Kramer experienced a frightening moment with her 2-month-old son, Jace, and opened up about it in a Monday, February 11, Instagram post.
“A few days ago something incredibly scary happened. I woke up with mom panic and looked at the monitor and saw Jace’s face completely covered by his swaddle,” the “Whine Down” podcast host, 35, captioned a shot of her baby boy. “Now as a mom I KNOW I put the swaddle on right. It was the appropriate size etc. He has bad reflux so he squirms a lot and he managed to get this fleece swaddle over his head. The fact this company promotes safe sleep baffles me.”
The One Tree Hill alum added: “I ended up deleting the monitor picture because it disturbed me that much. The what if’s that played in my head left me sick. All I encourage you moms to do is read the swaddle reviews when you buy. I was NOT the only one this happened to.”
Kramer and her husband, Mike Caussin, welcomed Jace in November 2018.
The musician explained their son’s name in an Instagram post a day after giving birth. “When I found out Jace meant ‘healing’ I knew right then that was his name,” Kramer wrote at the time. “He has been every bit of healing since I found out we were being blessed with another baby. I love you so much baby boy.”
Kramer and the former NFL player, 31, who also share 2-year-old daughter Jolie, suffered multiple miscarriages before Jace was conceived.
The “I Got the Boy” singer opened up about the losses to Us Weekly in May 2018. “It’s frustrating, but what I’ve realized is, it’s truly a miracle to have a baby and it’s all in God’s timing and hands,” she revealed. “If it’s meant to be, it will be.”
After her son’s November birth, Kramer told Us how happy she was. “My family of four is complete,” she gushed.
