Big brother alert! Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany Kerr, welcomed their second child on Monday, February 4, and recorded the moment 14-month-old Memphis met his baby sister for the first time.
“See Navy? Give her sugar,” the country crooner, 41, said in the video Kerr, 30, posted to Instagram on Tuesday, February 5. “Sweet. … Give sissy sugar.”
In the family footage, Memphis wore the same big brother shirt he sported in his parents’ pregnancy announcement. The little one’s dad moved him close enough to Navy to rest his cheek on her face. Little Navy, meanwhile, slept in her mom’s lap in a floral pink blanket and striped hat.
Aldean and the American Idol alum revealed that their baby girl had arrived one day prior to the sweet video. “We welcomed our daughter Navy Rome into the world today at 12:45pm 7lbs 12oz of pure preciousness,” Kerr captioned a close-up shot of her daughter on Instagram at the time. “We love you so much baby girl!!”
The musician posted the same picture, writing, “Today our family became complete as we welcomed our daughter Navy Rome to the world. Born on 2/4/19 weighing 7lbs 12oz and looking identical to her older brother. So excited to watch what life has in store for this little princess.”
The Georgia native and his wife welcomed their son in December 2017. Aldean also shares two daughters with his ex-wife, Jessica Ussery: Keeley, 15, and Kendyl, 11.
The Family, Friends and Fans author opened up about parenthood in a Father’s Day Instagram post in June 2018. “One of the greatest gifts in life has been getting to be the dad to these 3 kiddos,” he captioned a family pic.
