A role he was born to play! Jennifer Aniston gushed about how her pal George Clooney interacts with his 18-month-old twins Ella and Alexander.

Aniston, 49, described the Oscar winner, 57, and his wife, Amal Clooney, as “so sweet,” during the Thursday, December 6, episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “It’s amazing to see him with children,” she declared. “That’s what we talked about, that anything can happen.”

The Friends alum referring to the fact that for years the Gravity actor stated that he did not see himself having kids. As he told the London Evening Standard in 2008: “I wouldn’t have the patience or dedication you need to take care of a family. I admire those qualities in other people, but it’s not for me.” But the Catch-22 star had a change of heart after he married the human rights lawyer, 40, in 2014.

In June, Clooney showed off pictures of his little ones to close friend Randy Gerber at an event for their tequila brand Casamigos in Los Angeles. “George told a funny story about how he and Amal have to keep the toilet seat down for the twins’ sake,” an eyewitness told Us Weekly at the time. “George teased that the babies are like models and he never has to show them how to pose because they do it so naturally. He seemed like the proudest parent and he couldn’t stop talking about how much he loves the kids.”

That same month, Amal paid tribute to her husband’s parenting skills when he was presented with an AFI Lifetime Achievement Award. Taking the stage, the Columbia Law School visiting professor raved that Clooney “is the person who has my complete admiration and also the person whose smile makes me melt every time.”

Addressing the star directly, she said, “Seeing you with our children, Ella and Alexander, is the greatest joy in my life.”
