So silly! Jennifer Garner teased that her children, whom she shares with ex-husband Ben Affleck, love poking fun at her.
“They’re at the age where they just make fun of me all the time,” the 46-year-old actress told Us Weekly and other reporters on Wednesday, June 25, while promoting her new series Camping at the summer 2018 TCAs in Los Angeles.
While the upcoming HBO comedy is “not appropriate” for her children, Garner noted that the “light and funny” role “did bleed over” into her personal life.
“When do I feel my best? I don’t know, at home with my kids,” she raved. “Reading to my kids at night is probably my favorite, the thing that defines me the most.”
Garner and Affleck share three children: Violet, 12, Seraphina, 9, and Samuel, 6. The Peppermint star’s sweet sentiment comes after a source revealed in the new issue of Us that she is doing better than ever after finalizing her divorce in April 2017.
“Jen’s always been very optimistic and has a glass half full attitude even during the roughest times,” said the insider. “She’s very happy and in a good place. You rarely see her without a smile on her face.”
The Love, Simon actress is also “on good terms” with Affleck, 45. The A-list couple split in June 2015 after 10 years of marriage and while they remain amicable, “they still have their frustrations,” the source explained.
But the Justice League actor and the Alias alum are dedicated to staying friendly for their children’s sake. “They both want what’s best for the kids and have made a commitment to see that through,” added the source.
