A sweet surprise! Jennifer Lopez remembers the exact moment she realized she was pregnant — and she’s now telling her twins all about it.
“When I realized I was pregnant, I was in Portugal,” the American Music Award winner, 49, told Emme and Max, 11, in a Monday, April 29, YouTube video. “I was doing a big show. I had just went away for two days. When I sat there, I was in my hair and makeup trailer, and here’s what I felt. In my belly, I felt a flutter.”
The dancer added: “I felt like a little butterfly and immediately I knew that I had life inside me. I knew it. It came right into my head.”
When an ultrasound confirmed that the Second Act actress was pregnant with not one but two babies, she “started laughing hysterically.”
Lopez also opened up to her son and daughter about her very first crush, her childhood and her early days as a mom.
“I had you two when I was 37, and it was hard,” the World of Dance judge told her twins. “I wanted to jump out of the window so many different times because when one of you cried and the other one cried, I was like, ‘Ah, what do I do? You can’t cry when she cries!’”
The True Love author welcomed Emme and Max in 2008 with her ex-husband Marc Anthony. She penned a sweet note for the twosome on their ninth birthday in 2017.
“I cant believe its 9 years ago today that God entrusted me with the biggest blessings of my life,” Lopez wrote on Instagram at the time. “He finally sent me my beautiful twins, my babies, my love and life in two lil human beings. I immediately felt bonded, protective, overwhelmed with emotion and like the luckiest woman on this earth. And I’ve felt that way every day since.”
The singer is now engaged to Alex Rodriguez.
