Gushing over her guy! Jessica Simpson posted a pic of Eric Johnson and their 1-month-old daughter, Birdie, on Wednesday, April 17.
“Hot Dad Alert,” the fashion designer, 38, captioned the Instagram pic. In the photo, the former NFL player, 39, smiled in a suit with a baby carrier in one hand. A blanket covered the little one from view.
The Dukes of Hazzard actress and the athlete welcomed their second daughter in March. “We are so happy and proud to announce the birth of our perfect daughter, Birdie Mae Johnson,” Simpson captioned a black-and-white shot of the infant and her siblings at the time.
The I Do: Achieving Your Dream Wedding author and Johnson already share Maxwell, 6, and Ace, 5.
The kids have been very involved since their baby sister’s birth, the singer revealed in an Instagram post earlier this month — but Simpson’s early days with Birdie still weren’t easy.
“Recovering from a C-Section is no joke!” the Texas native admitted at the time. “I’m feeling thankful for these two older siblings looking over their new baby sister. I think we all get so carried away with the excitement of having a new baby that we forget that we are going in for major surgery. Then on top of that, we get home from the hospital, have to recover from the surgery, balance our new life as a parent to three kids and be a wife.”
The next day, the former reality star bragged about a five-ounce bottle of breast milk. “This is what success feels like,” she wrote on social media with a cow emoji.
Simpson and the former tight end tied the knot in 2014. She was previously married to Nick Lachey from 2002 to 2006.
