He’s not a former NFL player for nothing! Jessica Simpson‘s hunky fiancé Eric Johnson showed off his catching skills on Sunday, Jan. 19 while playing with daughter Maxwell Drew, 19 months, and son Ace Knute, 6 months.
“What a catch,” Simpson, 33, captioned the picture on her new Instagram account after posting a video of Johnson, 34, throwing Maxwell up in the air and catching her.
The former San Francisco 49ers tight end dressed his kids in matching 49ers jerseys for the team’s big game against the Seattle Seahawks. And though she’s clearly picked a team alliance, Maxwell was later spotted kissing a young Seahawks fan — Zev, the adorable son of Simpson’s stylist Nicole Chavez.
“Opposites attract,” Simpson captioned the picture of her daughter’s precious moment.

Since she started her Instagram account on Jan. 14, the fashion designer has delighted fans by posted plenty of family pictures with her children, fiancé, sister Ashlee Simpson (with her own fiancé Evan Ross), and mother Tina.
“It’s official! I’ve just joined Instagram before it’s not cool anymore!” she announced on Jan. 14.
