Fill him up! John Legend enjoyed a night out with pregnant wife Chrissy Teigen on Saturday, January 6, at The Ary of Elysium Heaven event — and he had jokes.
“It’s date night! I’ll have to drink for both of us though,” he said to Us and a group of reporters at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.
“I don’t know if [Luna] gets it yet,” he added of their 20-month-old daughter and his wife’s pregnancy. “She knows mommy has a baby inside her. She says ‘Baby.’
As for their growing brood, the “All of Me” singer, 39, said they’re looking forward to 2018. “We’re touring Asia very soon in March. But we’re not doing a lot of touring this year. I’ll be writing a lot and getting ready for the new baby.”
The doting husband added that he’s “trying to take care” of his wife, who announced the exciting news of baby No. 2 in a sweet Instagram post on November 21. “I cook for her. She has all the hard work and I do what I can to help,” he said of Teigen’s pregnancy. “She enjoys being pregnant overall I think and it makes us focus. We’re trying to bring this new baby to life and get it ready for the world and that means I have to take care of my wife and make sure she’s ready to handle it.”
Teigen and Legend tied the knot in September 2013 in Lake Como, Italy, and welcomed their first child on April 14, 2016.
