Baby on board! Josh Brolin and his wife, Kathryn Boyd, are expecting their first child together — a baby girl.
“There’s a new sheriff in town, and she’s no bigger than a sweet potato,” the Deadpool 2 actor, 50, captioned a photo on Instagram on Tuesday, May 29, of the pregnant model, 30, showing off her baby bump during a hike. “Hang on to your hats. #jbkbstucktogether #lilbeanterritory #loveisaslovedoes.”
The mom-to-be also shared the news on her Instagram account. “Something’s cookin,” she wrote alongside a picture of herself lifting up her shirt to reveal her belly. “Baby Girl Brolin on the way.”
This will be the first child for Boyd. Brolin is already the father of son Trevor, 29, and daughter Eden, 24, with his first wife, Alice Adair, to whom he was married from 1988 to 1994. He was later wed to Diane Lane from 2004 to 2013.
The Avengers actor and Boyd, his former assistant, began dating in March 2013. Us Weekly exclusively revealed in May 2015 that they were engaged. Shortly after Brolin proposed, the pair traveled to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, to celebrate.
“They were kissing each other a lot, had their arms around each other,” an eyewitness told Us at the time. “Super affectionate all night.”
Brolin and Boyd tied the knot in Cashiers, North Carolina, in September 2016 in front of their closest family members, friends and celebrities such as the groom’s father, James Brolin, and his wife, Barbra Streisand.
“The best thing is I don’t understand when people don’t want to be around their wives,” the Milk actor told Us in November. “I don’t really care to understand that.”
