Special day! Katie Holmes shared a sweet photo of her daughter, Suri Cruise, as she celebrated her 12th birthday.
The Dawson’s Creek alum, 39, celebrated Suri’s birthday by posting a black-and-white photo of her via Instagram wearing a tiara and decorated headband. “💕💕💕💕💕💕,” she captioned the snapshot on Wednesday, April 18.
Holmes shares Suri with ex-husband Tom Cruise — the two married in November 2006 and called it quits in 2012.
The Oceans 8 star often takes to social media to share pictures of Suri. Last month, she shared a sweet snap of herself and the preteen watching the Academy Awards from the comfort of their home. In December, Holmes and Suri attended iHeart Radio’s Jingle Ball in New York City and met Taylor Swift.
Although the Ray Donavan actress has been dating Jamie Foxx for four years, Suri remains her top priority. “She’s an amazing mom,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in January of the couple, who spent the holidays together alongside Suri. “She’ll chose her family over him any day.”
Holmes opened up about raising Suri in the April issue of Women’s Health, admitting that she often feels competitive with other moms on social media. “Like, that one has taken her child to Morocco,” she teased. “Why haven’t I taken my child to Morocco?”
The Rare Objects director also spoke about balancing acting and directing so effortlessly, which she attributes to her role as a mom. “It’s not as challenging as it looks, because you’re in charge of it,” she explained. “And when you’re a mom, we’re used to doing 25 things at once.”
