Not a chance! After rumors spread that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s 5-year-old daughter, North, had a boyfriend, the reality star set the record straight.
“She doesn’t have a boyfriend,” Kardashian, 38, said at the Hollywood Beauty Awards on Sunday, February 17, when asked by press if her eldest was too young to date. “Like, is this for real? She’s 5.”
Speculation started on Thursday, February 14, when rapper Consequence’s 7-year-old son, Caiden, made it clear he had a crush on North. Not only did the little one post a picture on Instagram on Valentine’s Day with a Tiffany’s bag and a box of chocolates, but older posts revealed just who the jewelry was for.
“Shout out to Northie, Babygirl I’ll see you soon,” Caiden captioned a photo with his blue bag. He also documented the moment he picked the heart necklace he got her, writing, “She’s gonna love it. Wrap that up sir, I’ll take it.” A week later, Caiden was all smiles in a playdate pic with North, and her younger brother, Saint, while she had the gold jewelry around her neck.
West worked with Consequence on his debut album, The College Dropout, in 2004, and their families have hung out on multiple occasions. Caiden attended the birthday party Kylie Jenner threw for her daughter, Stormi, and was photographed with Kardashian and West in December when the couple “treated [him] to dinner.”
Caiden even posted a photo with his arm around North earlier this month and captioned the shot, “Boo’d up.”
This wouldn’t be Consequence’s son’s first major crush, though. Caiden brought a bouquet of roses to Nicki Minaj when he met her in October 2018, and he even wrote the “Good Form” rapper, 36, a song called, “Dream About Nicki.”
On Minaj’s birthday, Caiden posted a video to Instagram, saying, “Happy birthday, Nicki. You’re my dream girl. I’m on my way to my basketball game. I’m gonna make these shots for you.” With that, he blew her a kiss.
