Beware the Mama Bear! Kristin Cavallari did not take kindly to criticism from Instagram users who claimed she has been “starving” her children, and the Hills alum hit back at haters in a comment of her own.

The controversy began when Cavallari, 29, posted a photo of her family on vacation to Instagram on Monday, July 4. In it, her two sons — Camden 3, and Jaxon, 2 — can be seen wading in the water with someone presumed to be her husband, Jay Cutler, standing close by.

“Even though we’re not in the states, were still celebrating,” the former reality star captioned the picturesque photo. “Hope everyone has a fun and safe 4th! #MyGuys.”

Instead of commenting on her son’s cute matching swim trunks or tiny snorkeling gear, however, many users chose to instead focus on the tots’ seemingly thin physiques.

“I understand you live a very strict dietary lifestyle but these children are very obviously nutritionally deficient,” one user quipped.

“Seeing pictures of your boys and how they look is a bit shocking to see!” another user wrote. “I know you cook healthy but to see the bones just doesn’t seem normal, sorry!”

Cavallari didn’t waste any time responding to her haters with a sarcastic comment and swift action.

“Yep, I starve my children,” she commented on her own post. “Just blocked the most people I’ve ever blocked in my entire life. Happy 4th hahaha.”

The mom of three — she and Cutler, 33, welcomed baby girl Saylor in November — is a vocal advocate for healthy eating and healthy living. In the June issue of Modeliste magazine, the cover star explained that she likes to focus on strength training in her workouts.

“I don’t do any cardio,” the Laguna Beach alum explained. “For me, it’s about building muscle and maintaining the little muscle that I have. The more muscle you have, the more fat you burn.”
