Leah Messer Says She Is ‘Done’ Having Kids: No More ‘Poopie Diapers’ for Me (Exclusive)

Family of four! Leah Messer has three daughters and is not planning on welcoming a fourth.

“No ma’am,” the Teen Mom 2 star, 28, exclusively told Us Weekly when asked whether she wants more kids. “I love them and cheers to all the mamas of four, but whew, I’m done with the poopie diapers. I’m done with the spitup.”

The Hope, Grace and Faith author acknowledged that she “doesn’t know what [the] future holds,” adding, “I’m not saying that I never will. I don’t know. As of right now in my life at this very moment, no.”

The West Virginia native joked, “I love my nieces and nephews, but I’m like, ‘Oh I really don’t want to change that diaper. Nope. Not today.’”

Messer became a mom in 2009 when she welcomed twins Aliannah and Aleeah, now 10, with Corey Simms, followed by daughter Adalynn, now 7, with Jeremy Calvert in 2013.

When it comes to coparenting her three daughters, the MTV personality told Us that the coronavirus pandemic “definitely” made things more “challenging.”

The reality star explained, “Corey was still working in the public and we were trying to just keep everyone safe and well, so the girls stayed with me for the first couple months at the beginning of COVID. Then it was hard for them mentally because they were used to seeing their dad a week on and a week off or, during the summers, at least going and seeing him.”

The former cheerleader did drive-by visits with her girls, she added, telling Us that she, Simms, 30, and Calvert, 31, couldn’t make coparenting “all about” themselves during the COVID-19 spread. “We didn’t make it about us,” Messer said. “It was all about them and what was best for them.”

In April, she exclusively told Us that about the “different” dynamics she has with both of her exes. “We still all coparent well and, at the end of the day, the kids are our first priority all the time,” Messer said at the time.

Season 10 of Teen Mom 2 returns to MTV on Tuesday, September 1, at 8 p.m. ET.
