XOXO! Leighton Meester and Adam Brody have welcomed their second child, a son.
“Since last I played, I have a new kid,” the actor, 40, said during The Fun Time Boys Game Night Spectacular via Twitch last week. “I have a boy and he’s a dream boy.”
News broke in March that the Gossip Girl alum, 34, was pregnant when she debuted her baby bump while on a walk.
Meester and the O.C. alum secretly tied the knot in 2014 and started growing their family the following year. Us Weekly confirmed in August 2015 that their daughter, Arlo, had arrived.
While the couple are notoriously private about their daughter, the Single Parents star opened up about her love for the little one in September 2019.
“People started telling me before [I had] a kid, ‘You’re going to really love them. Then you’re like, ‘Yeah, obviously, I’ll love them,’” the actress told Us exclusively at the time. “And then you do [have them] and you’re like, ‘Oh. OK. I don’t love anyone else. I just love them. And I don’t even love myself as much as I love them! Not even close.’”
The Texas native went on to say, “I don’t know, would I kill somebody or die for them? Sure. I would.”
The previous month, Brody told GQ that becoming a father was the “best” thing to ever happen to him.
The actor gushed in August 2019: “I mean this cliché — [she’s my] pride and joy. It’s very apt. She’s the thing I’m most proud of and gives me the most joy. She’s just so dang awesome. It just gives you a new perspective in the best way — something to focus on that’s greater and more important than yourself. Also that’s 100 percent true and even in another way. She has even become my security blanket for the outside world in terms of ‘I don’t need your approval I have my daughter, f—k you.’”
He and Meester met in 2011 while filming The Oranges and got engaged two years later. The California native previously dated actress Lorene Scafaria and fellow O.C. alum Rachel Bilson, while his now-wife was romantically linked to actor Aaron Himelstein.
