Suri Cruise is all grown up. The 10-year-old and mom Katie Holmes enjoyed a rare night out in New York City on Saturday, July 30. Joined by two cousins and Suri’s maternal grandmother, Kathleen, the duo took in a performance of Broadway’s Finding Neverland. And they got the VIP treatment, of course.
After the musical ended, the group posed for photos during a meet-and-greet with cast members including Laura Michelle Kelly, Amy Yakima, Paul Slade Smith and Tony Yazbeck. For the full experience, Yakima — who stars as Peter Pan — sprinkled a beaming Suri with pixie dust! In the snaps, Suri bears an uncanny resemblance to both Holmes and her father, Tom Cruise.
Later, the ladies headed over to Serendipity, where Suri — clad in an adorable, daisy-patterned dress and pink shoes — tucked into the restaurant’s legendary frozen hot chocolate. The Kennedys After Camelot actress, 37, shared a snap of their decadent desserts (a hot fudge sundae for her!) on Instagram. She captioned the black-and-white image: “We came. We conquered! #serendipity3 #familylove #gratitude.”
Holmes was famously married to Cruise from 2006 to 2012.
“My little one is very, very generous and very sensitive,” the Dawson’s Creek alum gushed of her mini-me during an appearance on the Today show in December. “So she’s always [saying], ‘Mom, let’s give my old toys to people who need it.”
Holmes — who grew up in Ohio — is determined to raise Suri like any other kid. “I try very hard because I’m very grateful for my upbringing, my parents, my siblings. I try to do what they did for me for my little one,” she told Matt Lauer in August 2014. “The most important thing for me is letting her know how proud I am and her accomplishments mean everything. Whatever I do is whatever. It’s really just about her.”
