Nick Viall’s wife, Natalie Joy, is in the thick of a “hard” postpartum journey after welcoming twins last month.
“Recovery this time around has been incredibly hard on me,” Joy, 27, wrote via her Instagram Story on Wednesday, July 8. “My body has basically gone into shock lol and I feel like I was hit by a bus!!!”
The Age of Attraction cohost noted that there has still been a lot of happiness with the hardships, adding, “But my girls are 1 week old (as of yesterday at 11:30pm) 💗💗.”
Joy, who gave birth to twin daughters Iris Parker and Dove Tomlin, on June 30, later shared a side-by-side photo of her body transformation one week postpartum.

“The fact that these are basically 1 week apart is truly mind blowing,” she wrote alongside two mirror selfies showing her stomach before and after giving birth to her two new babies.
Joy confessed, “I spent so much energy on if I would ever feel like myself again after a twin pregnancy and while I am FAR from feeling like myself it is so wild to watch the female body just do what it does.”
As Joy navigates her postpartum period — while also raising the couple’s 2-year-old daughter, River Rose — her husband, Viall, 45, is trying to make her journey even easier.
“The hormones that are coming out of her body and that she’s giving to the babies. Her body is healing at the same time. What a feat,” he told listeners on the Tuesday, July 7, episode of his “Viall Files” podcast while reflecting on how Joy is handling the first few weeks as a mother of three.
The former Bachelor star revealed that Joy does the heavy lifting, so he is simply there to support her every step of the way.
“My job is just to make whatever Natalie needs, which is such, again, a rewarding experience,” Viall explained. “My job, I feel like, is to make sure that she feels good in any given moment.”

He pointed out that Joy’s emotions are heightened after welcoming their twins, so he has to step up.
“Especially post-delivery, postpartum, the moms out there get an absolute feelings hall pass,” Viall added. “It’s my job to make Natalie feel like everything is fine, everything is OK. Everything is a problem that can be solved. You’re doing great.”
Viall and Joy have been vocal about their ups and downs with fans for years after going public with their romance in January 2021. The pair got engaged two years later and they welcomed their first baby, River, in February 2024.
Since having River and getting married in April 2024, the couple have been even more vulnerable about their journey to expand their family after Joy suffered three miscarriages in 2025.
Viall and Joy announced in February that they were expecting their “rainbow babies,” revealing that Joy was pregnant with twins.
The couple confirmed their twins’ arrivals via Instagram on July 3, sharing black-and-white photos of the newborns. “Our rainbow babies,” they captioned the joint post just days after Dove and Iris were born.
“In 3 baby heaven,” Joy wrote in a second Instagram post, sharing more photos from the hospital and of River meeting her sisters.
