Staying simple! When it comes to parenting her 18-month-old daughter, Nikki Reed wants Bodhi’s childhood to mirror her own.
“I try to focus a lot on going back to old-school toys, like building blocks, using wood,” the Twilight alum, 30, told Us Weekly exclusively at Amazon’s Valentine’s Day Pup-Up on Saturday, February 9 where guests browsed and shopped the latest in Amazon pet products.
The pair have kept Bodhi out of the public eye since her arrival. When she was born, Reed and the Vampire Diaries alum, 40, even spent a visitor-free month with their daughter, and had their phones turned off.
Now that she has a child, the actress, who founded a sustainable lifestyle brand, BaYou With You, in 2017, is thinking more about the future she wants for her daughter.
“After becoming a parent, I think you start thinking about what the planet is gonna look like when your kids are grown,” she told Us. “You kind of approach things with that in mind. How are we leaving our planet? How are we treating our planet? It’s definitely pushed me into working even harder on BaYou.”
