Prince Harry Gushes Over His and Duchess Meghan’s ‘Upcoming Baby’

The dad-to-be has spoken! Prince Harry beamed with excitement as he opened up about Duchess Meghan’s pregnancy in Sydney, Australia, on Tuesday, October 16.

“Thank you for the incredibly warm welcome and the chance to meet so many Aussies from all walks of life,” the 34-year-old royal gushed during an address at the Admiralty House. He then grinned adorably at his wife of five months and added: “We also genuinely couldn’t think of a better place to announce the, er, upcoming baby. Whether it’s a boy or a girl.”

Later, Meghan told 98-year-old Harry superfan Daphne Dunn: “Hopefully next time we’ll have our little one with us!”

The former Suits actress, 37, and Harry kicked off a 16-day tour of Australia, Fiji, Tonja and New Zealand on Tuesday. On Monday, Kensington Palace announced that the couple are expecting their first child in spring 2019.

“Harry is elated and beside himself,” a source told Us Weekly exclusively. And the retired actress is having an easy pregnancy, unlike her sister-in-law Duchess Kate, who suffered from hypermedia gravidarum, otherwise known as severe morning sickness, with all three children. “Meghan is feeling amazing. She is excited, happy and over the moon. She’s in great health so far.”

Meghan and Harry’s bundle of joy could share a birthday with Duchess Kate and Prince William’s daughter Princess Charlotte, 3. “She is due on or around May 2nd,” an insider revealed to Us. “Meghan is just shy of her 15-week mark.”

The expectant parents attended Princess Eugenie’s wedding at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on Friday, October 12. They then headed Down Under for their first international tour together. An insider told Us the pair “consulted with medical experts” about the risk of contracting the Zika virus in Fiji and Tonga.
