This teen mama drama is over … for now, at least! Teen Mom OG’s Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley have ended their custody battle over their 7-year-old daughter, Leah, on Monday, May 23, Us Weekly can confirm.
Shirley, 29, will maintain primary custody with Portwood, 26, agreeing to pay child support, the mom of one revealed on Twitter.
“Ok..I'm the one who told Gary I would pay him money,” the Never Too Late author wrote, shutting down reports that the decision was made without her blessing. “And I also said he could have primary because he's closer to her school.”

While Shirley will remain Leah’s legal guardian, the former couple will continue to share joint custody. The MTV star has been paying her ex-fiancé $1,200 a month in child support since March 1, according to the court order obtained by Us.
The 16 & Pregnant alum lost custody of her daughter in 2011 after her home and car were vandalized, and Child Protective Services recommended Shirley take over raising Leah. Later that year, Portwood was sentenced to jail in 2012 following a December 2011 drug arrest. After her November 2013 release, the Indiana residents agreed on splitting custody in 2015, so long as Leah’s dad retained primary physical custody.
As fans will recall, Portwood expressed an interest in fighting for primary custody of Leah on season 2 of Teen Mom OG after Shirley repeatedly barred his one-time girlfriend from spending time with their child.
The reality personality now appears to see her beloved “Boo Boo” quite often. Most recently, she shared a sweet snapshot on Twitter of her young 'un sitting in the back of her convertible on Sunday, May 22.

Portwood, who called it quits with Shirley for good in 2013, is now engaged to Matt Baier. Shirley is married to Kristina Anderson, with whom he shares daughter Emilee Grace, 14 months.
