So much for age-appropriate attire!
On Wednesday night's Toddlers and Tiaras, 3-year-old Paisley wore a pageant costume based on Julia Roberts' prostitute character in Pretty Woman.
The smiling tot strutted out on the stage wearing a neon yellow wig, midriff-baring, tight dress and thigh-high patent boots, much like Roberts' streetwalking ensemble in the 1990 romantic comedy.
While the judges laughed at Paisley's provocative outfit, not everyone was amused. "Us pageant moms already take a huge rap for what we're doing to our little girls," a competitor's mother said. Most of the young girls featured on the TLC show wear fake hair, "flippers" (fake teeth), heavy makeup and get professionally spray tanned. "[But] it's outfits like that the give us a bad rap… I would never, ever do that to my little girl."
Paisley's mother, Wendy Dickey, told TMZ: "I'm raising my child just as well as any mother does … I take my kid to church every week."
"Everyone in the room was laughing hysterically," Dickey added. "It was meant to be funny, not sexual at all. I made the dress myself! It barely went above the knee, very non-revealing and non-sexy."
Ultimately Paisley won "Grand Supreme," the highest title in her age group.
