Bye-bye puffy eyes! New moms are used to getting a limited amount of sleep, which is why Whitney Port has a useful tip on how to depuff those tired eyes – spoons! The mom to baby boy, Sonny, 9 months, opened up to Us Weekly about her mom tips and tricks. Watch the video above!
While the former reality star, 33, admitted that her baby is a good sleeper and “doesn’t really cry that much,” that doesn’t mean she isn’t familiar with long, sleepless nights.
“I always keep spoons in the freezer because my eyes are really puffy and I notice that the frozen spoons, leaving them on there will help decrease that,” Port told Us. “I keep all my face masks in the fridge too because I just think that anything cold helps reduce puffiness.”
And while the first couple months of motherhood “can be a bit of a fog,” Port suggests to always have your diaper bag “filled to the brim” with essentials.
“Obviously have to have his food or his formula, diapers, wipes, change of clothes, socks, Aquaphor,” Port, who recently partnered with Lactaid, told Us. “Like any kind of like diaper rash ointment. Gosh, what else? Bibs, burp cloths. I feel like I could go on and on. I’m one of those moms that’s like always, always prepared.”
In between diaper duty and putting in “a little bit more effort” with her husband, Tim Rosenman, the former Hills star rarely has time for herself. However, when she does, she’s either getting pampered or catching up on her reality TV guilty pleasures.
“With two hours to myself, if I could nap I would, but I’m not a good napper. I’ll probably go get like a manicure, pedicure and sit in the chair for an hour and have them give me like a neck message and a foot massage, and watch TV,” Port revealed to Us. “I’ll catch up on Housewives or Vanderpump Rules. It’s like my guilty pleasure of the moment.”
