Reality TV alum Ashley Hebert Rosenbaum likes to give her little ones, Ford and Essie, an extra dose of freedom on their last week before school. "I let the kids plan their days how they want. If they want to go to the beach, we go, if they want to spend the day at home watching movies and popcorn, we do it! I allow them to rest, and I try to make sure they are able to do the things they love. It's usually a long week, but so much fun!"
Trista Sutter, the OG reality suitor, likes to commemorate the first day of school for Max and Blakesley with a meaningful project. "Because I am 'that' mom who loves the stereotypical picture of the kids holding up a sign, what I have always prioritized was asking my kids what they want to be when they grow up and decorating poster board the night before," she explains. "I feel like it's a sweet way to track their personalities and an easy way to make them feel special, even if they are starting to tell me I'm embarrassing. Embarrassing or not, I plan on doing it for at least another decade, so they're just going to have to deal."
"Okay, so, the first hour of being home alone for the first time since spring has passed, and now you kiiinda miss the kids," says Cricket Wireless's Rose. "Grab yourself a great new smartphone and text them about how excited you are to hear about their first day back!"
"I think as parents we can get nervous for our little ones," says actress and mom of four Soleil Moon Frye. "I try and tell myself to enjoy the moments because they happen so quickly. I used to hear people say that, but it has a whole new meaning when you see them growing up so fast before your eyes. Before I knew it my oldest is almost 14!"
"My back-to-school essentials are the phone numbers of all the other Moms in the class! I like to know what is going on at all times!" says Hebert Rosenbaum. "[On the first day of school] I'm calling and texting the other moms in the class to see if they have heard how the kids are doing."
