Heard loud and clear! Adam Levine responded to a sick 16-year-old boy's viral cover of Maroon 5's "She Will Be Loved" after the teen underwent heart surgery.

Will Hunt, a sophomore at the McCallie School in Tennessee, sang the 2002 hit while in the intensive care unit of Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville. Accompanied by his dad on guitar, he played the keyboard and sang while sitting next to his hospital bed.

Hunt's brother Mac captured a video of the heartwarming moment, and shared it on his Twitter account. "Currently my 16 yr old brother is dealing with heart failure and is at Vanderbilt Hospital. Just thought I would share @Willhunt190 love u," he captioned the clip on Friday, October 14.

The video — which was also shared on YouTube, where it accumulated more than 19,000 views — caught Levine's attention, prompting him to repost Hunt's rendition of "She Will Be Loved" on his own Twitter account.

"It's hard to express with words what it feels like to know you've helped someone in this way," the 37-year-old singer wrote on Saturday, October 22. "So instead, I'll just share. Nice job kid. :)"

Less than a half hour later, Hunt quickly responded to his idol's tweet, writing, "I can't breath [sic] oh my god. Thank you so much I am your number 1 fan. This is CRAZY."

According to WRCB-TV, the Chattanooga teen, who sings for the men's choir at his school, is still in the hospital awaiting a heart transplant.

"He's in good spirits, not sad," Hunt's cousin Wyatt McVay told the local news outlet. "Always happy and laughing."

McVay added, "['She Will Be Loved'] is one of his favorite songs. He started singing with his dad on the guitar and Mac videotaped it. They put it on Twitter and it blew up. It is crazy. I always knew he would be discovered for his singing, but I never knew it would be like this."
