Good vibes only! Adrienne Bailon reacted to her ex-boyfriend Rob Kardashian’s surprise engagement to Blac Chyna on Wednesday, April 6.
While the Cheetah Girls actress, 32, revealed that she has not yet had a chance to personally congratulate the E! personality, 29, she had nothing but nice things to say about her former flame’s proposal.
“I think everybody deserves happiness and I think it’s just absolutely awesome,” Bailon told E! News at the premiere of Barbershop: The Next Cut in Los Angeles. “He looks like he’s so happy.”
As Us Weekly previously reported, the former 3LW singer and Kardashian called it quits in 2009 after two years of dating. Their relationship played out before the Keeping Up With the Kardashians cameras.
After their breakup, Bailon struck up a romance with music exec Lenny Santiago. The two got engaged in February 2015, but parted ways that following September. The Real talk-show host is now dating Grammy Award–winning, Christian music artist Israel Houghton.
Bailon isn’t the only star to give Kardashian, 29, and Chyna their official seal of approval. Friends of the couple have recently told Us how happy they are that the video model, 27, and the Arthur George sock designer found each other — despite initially skeptical reactions to the relationship from Kardashian’s famous family.
“I love them together … They are supersilly together,” Chyna’s BFF, Amber Rose, told Us exclusively on March 13. “They literally crack up and laugh all day long, like it’s not just a front for social media. They’re really supersilly, and they love each other, and they have a blast together. I’m really happy for her. She deserves it.”
Kardashian pal (and Khloé’s ex) French Montana also gave a glowing endorsement. “He has really good energy, and every time I speak to him he’s working out or doing something positive,” the rapper told Us of the reality star’s bond with Chyna. “I love that.”
Kardashian and Chyna first went public with their relationship in January, which insiders told Us upset the Kardashian-Jenner clan. Chyna’s ex Tyga, father of her son King Cairo, 3, is currently dating Kardashian’s half-sister Kylie Jenner.
Kardashian’s family has yet to publicly congratulate him on his engagement.
“Kris [Jenner] is not happy,” an insider tells Us. “Dating Chyna is one thing, but marrying her is another … The whole family is discussing it and is angry, but they are talking to come up with a unified front for how to address it … It’s a huge mistake to them.”
