Amber Portwood has been sober for three years, the Teen Mom OG star revealed on Twitter on Sunday, April 26 — years after she admitted to Dr. Phil that she was always high while filming the MTV franchise.

“3 years sober no relapse in sight by choice…learn more about the people you speak of..everyone is different in their sobriety ???? @Kreplaw,” the mom to daughter Leah tweeted. “It is a choice to stay clean..mixed with willpower and life lessons..heres the publicity you wanted..love not hate????@Kreplaw @ItsGaryTime,” she added, tweeting at her ex and baby daddy Gary Shirley.

Before spending 17 months in the slammer back in 2013, the reality star, who was addicted to prescription pills, admitted to Dr. Phil that she was always high while filming the show.

"This is actually my first time on stage sober, so I'm really nervous," she told the talk show host. “Every time you see me on [Teen Mom], I am high,” she admitted.

During Monday’s April 27 episode of Teen Mom OG, Portwood introduced her fiancé — also a former addict — Matt Baier. “We’ve been best friends for months. I wanted to do it right this time,” she told the camera of her husband-to-be.
