Walden and Alan are saying goodbye. In honor of Two and a Half Men’s series finale on Thursday, Feb. 19, Ashton Kutcher posted a sweet message to his costar Jon Cryer via Facebook.
“Thank you Mr. Cryer for making this job never feel like work. I will miss working with you every day,” Kutcher, 37, shared on Wednesday, alongside a black-and-white photo of the pair. “You are a true partner in every sense of the word.”
“In four years I never heard you complain and never heard you speak ill of another person even if they took advantage of your kindness and generosity,” he continued of Cryer, 49. “You are a gentleman. You are a talent. You are someone I look up to. See you tomorrow night. #twoandahalfmen.”
The CBS comedy is coming to an end after a staggering 12 seasons and one of the biggest shake-ups in TV history. Kutcher famously replaced Charlie Sheen, 49, in May 2011 after the actor was fired by the show’s creator, Chuck Lorre, for his behavior on set.
“I can’t wait to get to work with this ridiculously talented 2.5 team and I believe we can fill the stage with laughter that will echo in the viewers’ homes,” Kutcher told Us Weekly in a statement at the time. “I can’t replace Charlie Sheen but I’m going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people.”
Sheen’s character was killed off, but there have been rumors that the Anger Management star may return on finale night. In September 2014, Sheen told TV Guide that he would “love to return” to the Warner Bros. Television lot.
Two and a Half Men’s one-hour series finale will air on Thursday, Feb. 19, at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
