Blues legend B.B. King revealed via his website that he's in "home hospice care" in Las Vegas

Blues legend B.B. King revealed via his website on Friday, May 1, that he's "in home hospice care at [his] residence in Las Vegas" following his recent hospitalization over Easter weekend.

The 89-year-old musician posted a note on his official website, thanking fans for their "well wishes and prayers." No other details on his condition were provided.

The update comes amid reports that King's daughter Patty King and his manager Laverne Toney are fighting over his care. TMZ claims that Patty called police, who called the paramedics, who took him to the hospital to be checked out.

Las Vegas police officer Jesse Roybal confirmed to the Associated Press that an ambulance had taken someone from King's address "following what was characterized as a dispute over medical care." However, reps for the icon did not immediately respond to the AP's request for comment.
