Benny Blanco didn’t hold back on the first episode of his “Friends Keep Secrets” podcast.
“What’s the rule for gas [or] pissing?” Blanco, 37, said on the Tuesday, February 24, episode before cohost Lil Dicky encouraged the music producer to “do whatever you want.”
Blanco subsequently passed gas on camera.
“Wait, see if you guys can pick this up?” he quipped, farting into the microphone. “That was just a little one.”
While Blanco laughed over his flatulence, he sat on a gray sectional couch barefoot, which seemingly revealed pads of dirt on the bottom of his feet. Without addressing his fart or seemingly dirty feet, his podcast antics soon raised eyebrows from listeners.
“I can’t believe this,” one social media user wrote via X, while another added, “He looks dirty, and looks like he smells like a bin.”
“BENNY!!!!! THEM DIRTY ASS FEET,” a YouTube viewer commented. “I FREAKING ADORE YOU.”
A fourth fan also defended Blanco’s podcast appearance.
“So, this video of Benny Blanco all over the internet where he farts on purpose during his podcast debut, and y’all are acting like you’ve never farted in your lives,” an X user tweeted. “The only difference is he did it live and you do it alone lol.”
Others further condemned Selena Gomez for marrying Blanco in September 2025 after almost two years of dating, believing that she deserves better. The Only Murders in the Building actress, 33, hasn’t let the chatter get her down, though.

“I fall more and more in love with you every day, my love,” Gomez captioned a kissing video of herself and Blanco via her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, February 25.
Neither Gomez nor Blanco have publicly addressed the fan commentary to his podcast behavior. The show also isn’t meant to be a traditional podcast.
“When people consume ‘podcasts,’ they usually watch the clips online and they’re really kind of stocky and boring and there’s a microphone sitting there, and the frame sucks,” Lil Dicky, 37, explained on Tuesday’s episode. “I don’t want it to be [that]. If it was up to me, if we were really going to reinvent it the way I wish [we] could, everything would look like The Zone of Interest.”
Lil Dicky (real name David Andrew Burd) wasn’t sure if his plan to film a podcast “with cameras rigged in a house” would resemble the 2023 war movie, while his wife, Kristin Batalucco, and Blanco just wanted to “have fun and chitchat.”
“No one wants to hear a podcast about a podcast,” Blanco quipped. “Here’s my way [to start the show]. ‘Hey, we’re in.’ I might come in with a new personality.”
Lil Dicky, however, advised Blanco to “just be [himself]” for each episode.
“Be true to the reality of the moment of life that you’re living,” he said. “I think being anything other than your truest self [won’t work well]. I think you’re a d***-and-fart man with a lot of talent, a big heart, [who is] really funny, probably the funniest guy I’ve ever met. … Just be yourself.”
