Queen Bey is hoping for the best. The "XO" singer wrote a sweet message to her backup singer Tiffany Monique Riddick as she battles cancer.
"We love you Tiffany," Beyonce, 33, wrote on her personal site on Wednesday, Mar. 11. "Wishing you a speedy recovery. Love, Beyonce."
Riddick has worked on tour with Beyonce since 2007, and has also taken the stage with Kelly Clarkson, Stevie Wonder, Christina Aguilera, Anita Baker, and Mariah Carey. She graduated from William Paterson University with a Bachelor's degree in communications/journalism in New Jersey in the late '90s.
"When you first start in rehearsals, you're working far more than a 9-to-5 job," Riddick told New Jersey Monthly of her career in August 2013. "You put in some 16- and 18-hour days. Once the show is in full swing and you’ve worked out all the kinks, that slows down."
"When I'm at home, I'm in a ponytail and sweatpants and Uggs," she added. "It's funny, because at my son’s school, some people know what I do for a living, and they see me dropping him off, looking like any other house mom."
Riddick has been chronicling her cancer fight on her Facebook page. Earlier this week, she captioned a photo of a loved one.
"Fevers, a-fib, no food or water since last Tuesday, quite a bit of pain and a lot of fatigue today," she wrote on Monday, Mar. 9. "I'm finally 'comfortable' so I'm gonna get some sleep while the going is good. Here is the view I get to drift off with. Anyone who knows me already knows how much I love this man. Didn't know if loving him any more than I already did was even possible. It is…#fckcancer #godsgotthis #bravethestorm."
