Brittany Cartwright isn’t mincing words when it comes to reflecting on ex-husband Jax Taylor’s romance with her former publicist Lori Krebs.
“I’m shaking,” Cartwright, 37, told People in a video interview published on Wednesday, August 5. “I mean, this person was not only my publicist, she was like a sister to me for 10 years. It’s just complete, complete betrayal.”
Cartwright then recalled all the times Krebs was there for her.
“I mean, this person guided me through my horrible divorce, guided me through all the Airbnbs I was living in [after Jax and I split] and would come to my house and let me cry on her shoulders after I had been physically, emotionally and financially abused by this man,” she continued. “She knows every in and out of everything in my life and still chose to sleep with the enemy, basically.” (Taylor’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, has denied Cartwright’s claims of abuse.)
She also hinted that Krebs kept Taylor, 47, informed about Cartwright’s personal life.
“He knew things about me that I did not tell him,” Cartwright told People. “She was literally infiltrating my life, my marriage, my divorce, my custody, my career, everything. I don’t know what would’ve happened if I would’ve let her go a long time ago. There has been so much bad press about me, and now, I feel like she was sabotaging me quietly behind the scenes. I’ve never seen a snake like this before in my entire life.”
Krebs’ attorney, Michael Kernan, told the outlet that it “is inaccurate to suggest that my client engaged in an unethical dual representation” and that Krebs hasn’t represented Taylor “for well over a year.”
The Valley star’s unfiltered thoughts come after Taylor, 47, seemingly confirmed his relationship with Krebs, who worked as Cartwright’s publicist for 10 years before the pair cut ties in July.
Taking to the comments section of his Wednesday, July 29, Instagram post, the Vanderpump Rules alum wrote “No thanks I am taken,” in response to a fan who suggested he campaign to become the next Bachelor.
The apparent confirmation came weeks after Us obtained exclusive photos of the couple getting cozy in a pool at the Hotel Mousai in Mexico’s Puerto Vallarta. An eyewitness shared details of the sighting with Us at the time. “At one point, a random woman at the pool was trying to give them relationship advice,” the source said. “I asked him, ‘How long have they been married?’ And he said ‘we’re both happily divorced.’”
The onlooker also noted that Krebs and Taylor, who separated from Cartwright in February 2024 after five years of marriage, had their “arms wrapped around each other and looked very close.”
In light of the relationship, another insider told Us that Cartwright, who shares son Cruz, 5, with Taylor, has severed ties with Krebs. “It’s very upsetting to her and she is sick to her stomach over it,” the source revealed. “She is shocked that photos surfaced and that they are out in public. Lori was with Brittany through dark days.”
Another insider noted at the time that there had been “rumors about them for years,” however Cartwright had always “brushed them off” as gossip. “She always had Lori’s back and trusted her. They were very good friends and did not have a typical professional relationship,” the source explained.
Vanderpump Rules fans witnessed Cartwright and Taylor’s relationship taking off after meeting in between seasons 3 and 4 of the Bravo reality series. Their romance attracted drama quickly, serving as the center of a season 5 and 6 cheating scandal on Taylor’s part with former SURver Faith Stowers.
