Well, Chelsea Handler has always been blunt! The TV host revealed in a recent Instagram Story that she’s developing her own line of marijuana, calling cannabis the “only f—king thing that’s kept me sane” since Donald Trump was elected President of the United States.
“I want everyone to know that I’m going to a weed farm today. Yep. I’m gonna go pick a grow,” the former Chelsea Lately host, 42, announced to her more than three million followers Tuesday, February 12. “It’s called a grow for those of you who are not in the know.”
“I’m going to come out with my own line of weed, I decided. I want people to understand that you don’t have to get blottoed,” Handler continued. “You can just get a little, nice buzz to take the edge off.”
The Uganda Be Kidding Me author shared a picture from her field trip to the farm. “Doing my due diligence on weed grows so I know how I can best help spread the word,” she wrote in the caption. “Weed is fun again and in controlled doses. I’m into it big time.”
Handler isn’t the only celebrity entering the marijuana market. Last month, Mike Tyson revealed he’s opening a 40-acre cannabis ranch in California City for growers and enthusiasts of the drug. The Blast reported that the property will boast an amphitheater, an edible factory and an extraction area.
The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg, who has been open about her own use of cannabis, lent her name and financial backing to a line of medical marijuana products designed to ease menstrual cramps in 2016.
