Update: TMZ reports that Conrad Hilton voluntarily checked into a rehab facility following his alleged in-flight meltdown this past July. According to the site, the 20-year-old spent 30 days in a treatment facility shortly after the incident. Hilton was arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 3 and was released on $100,000 bail, the site reports. He was ordered to surrender his passport and remain in California.
Side effects are no joke. Paris Hilton’s younger brother Conrad Hilton has been arrested after allegedly flipping out on passengers during an international flight this past July, TMZ reports. The Hilton heir, 20, reportedly freaked out on the flight, threatening fellow travelers and flight attendants; at one point, TMZ reports, he was acting so out of control, he had to be handcuffed to his seat.
“I will f—king own anyone on this flight; they are f—king peasants,” Hilton reportedly was heard shouting, as well as “I am going to f—king kill you,” and “I will f—king rip through you.”
After he was confronted, witnesses told officials that Hilton grabbed a flight attendant by the shirt and said: “I could get you all fired in five minutes. I know your boss! My father will pay this out. He has done it before. [My] dad paid $300,000 last time."
The cause of the outburst remains unknown. However, Hilton did admit to taking a sleeping pill.
His lawyer Robert Shapiro told TMZ that the sleeping pill caused Hilton to not be himself. Shapiro also noted there are numerous reports of people experiencing adverse side effects, including aggressive outbursts, after taking sleeping aids.
