Complete it, Courteney Cox! After she was nominated by best friend Jennifer Aniston to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge this past weekend, Cox responded with a poolside rendition, featuring British singing sensation Ed Sheeran.
“Alright Jennifer Aniston,” Cox, 50, told her pal while dunking her toes into a pool. “I accept your ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.”
The Cougar Town star then went on to nominate her fiance Johnny McDaid, his Snow Patrol bandmate Gary Lightbody, and actress Isla Fisher to next carry out the most viral campaign ever, which has raised money and awareness for Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Sheeran, 23, hovering over Cox’s head, poured the freezing cold water onto the star, when McDaid and a friend doused her again with a bigger bucket.
Shocked by the second hit, Cox stood up and began to chase her fiance.
As of Tuesday, Aug. 26, the ALS Association has raised more than $88.5 million in donations, compared to the $2.6 million it raised within the same time frame last year. The immense effort has come from 1.9 million new donors.
