She’s about to be the object of Christian Grey’s obsessions, and in the cover shoot for the March 2014 issue of Elle — her first-ever fashion cover — Dakota Johnson turned up the heat in a series of seductive shots.
Johnson’s style in the magazine spread — shot by photographer Carter Smith — ranges from ’60s go-go chic, to racy in bandeau tops and bras with skin-tight pencil skirts.
The Fifty Shades of Grey actress, 24, opened up about her decision to star (opposite Jamie Dornan) in the film adaptation of one of the most popular erotic fiction novels ever.
“Reading the book, I found myself more interested in the ways they were breaking each other down emotionally than the sex scenes,” the future Anastasia Steele admitted. “I think there’s a part of a woman that wants to be the thing that breaks a man down.”
And though she’s going to appear in plenty of blush-worthy scenes with costar Jamie Dornan, the daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson isn’t the slightest bit embarrassed.
“I don’t have any problem doing anything,” she said. “The secret is I have no shame.”
