David Beckham started off his 40th birthday in Morocco on Saturday, May 2 — shirtless, naturally! The former pro soccer player joined Instagram on the same day, and shared several photos from his family getaway.
"Good morning and hello! It's great to finally be on Instagram, been a long time coming but I can't wait to start sharing all my special moments with you," Beckham captioned his first pic. "Thank you for all your birthday messages so far. Looking forward to a great day with friends and family x."
With that, the dad of four was then joined by his wife Victoria Beckham for breakfast. "I feel very spoiled this morning! #DB40," the athlete captioned a pic, in which he is surrounded by presents. Sharing a snap with his eldest son Brooklyn, 16, he continued: "I feel a very lucky man. Here's a photo with @brooklynbeckham the real boss of the family!"
Victoria, 41, even added a special touch with a "Happy Birthday" banner, confetti, and birthday hats. She gushed: "So excited to be spending this special day with David and the kids in Marrakech!"
Beckham isn't the only famous Brit who is celebrating a birthday today, of course. Kate Middleton and Prince William welcomed a baby girl — Her Royal Highness, Princess of Cambridge. "Incredible news. I couldn't be happier for William and Kate," Beckham, who attended William and Kate's wedding with Victoria four years ago, wrote on Facebook. "Happy to hear that mother and daughter are fine." He teased: "It's not a bad day to be born."
